How to set up the module
Get O'Dashboard up and running in less than five minutes.
Install the module
Head to your Odoo Apps menu. Use the search bar and type "O'Dashboard". The module will appear in the results — click Install and let Odoo do its thing.
Access rights
By default, only administrators have access to the O'Dashboard app. If you have team members who need to use it, go into their user settings and configure their permissions accordingly.
Open O'Dashboard
Head into the O'Dashboard app from your main menu. You'll land on a simple screen with two buttons — click "Open O'Dashboard". This will take you directly to the O'Dashboard platform.
Create your account
If this is your first time, you'll need to create an account:
- Fill in your full name
- Enter your professional email address
- Choose a password
- Confirm your email address with the verification code
Create a new instance
After signing up, you'll have the choice to create a new instance or join an existing one. In this guide, we'll create a new instance.
- Choose "Create an instance"
- Give your instance a name
- Answer a quick question — whether you're setting this up as an Odoo partner or for your own company, and your level in data visualization
Link your Odoo instance
Once your instance is created, you'll reach the setup screen. Here you'll find a unique UUID — this is the identifier that links O'Dashboard to your specific Odoo instance.
- Click the copy button to grab the UUID
- Switch back to Odoo Settings
- Find the O'Dashboard section and paste your UUID into the dedicated field
- Click "Save"
- Click "Synchronize"
Instance UUID
Keep this UUID safe. Share it with colleagues who need to link their Odoo instance to the same O'Dashboard.
You're all set!
Head back to O'Dashboard — your Odoo instance is connected, recognized, and ready to use.
